Patio House
Holiday houseIn Sicily, overlooking the sea of Syracuse, a patio house unfolds along a narrow strip of land ending in a cliff. An introverted project, shaped by continuous walls that define five independent rooms and a living area open to the seascape. Private patios filter light and ensure intimacy, while an open-air path connects the spaces like a small alley leading to the sea. Large sliding glass doors disappear into the walls, fully opening the living area to the horizon. A staircase in the inner patio leads to a panoramic rooftop terrace. Local materials, earthy walls, and warm concrete floors recall vernacular architecture, blending the house into the landscape. A quiet, porous architecture that reveals itself only as you move through it.
